By law a corporation is required to maximize shareholder value. Add to that the egos of running a large company.

Why is anyone surprised that they do what they do? Adobe, Apple, Microsoft, etc... all operate the same way.

They don't care about the flow of information in the construction industry except as how it can increase their profits and short and long term share price.


Not that I think any of the above points are nice but they are real.
