How about shooting a little higher, true xref's that could be placed on sheets whereever you want them, and that would allow you to use only a portion of the drawing.
A dynamic hatch that would allow you to place hatch with a touch of the mouse in any enclosed portion of the drawing, and hatch that could be scaled up or down etc.
These two items alone would make the world of PowerCad so much nicer, and reduce my drafting time tremendously, leaving me with so much more time for design.
