We are well aware of the programmer's mentality that it is all too easy to fall into.

I was surprised at how difficult and non-intuitive a lot of things with the new forum were. We have ironed many of those out, and are continuing to make changes to make it simple for everyone.

I have added a link saying "You must register before you can login" to the login page, because that was clearly not obvious enough.
