you could, using a URL (hyperlink) based scheme for referring to external
content and some hashtable-based cache/dictionary so that content fetched
once for a URL is cached and reused when that URL is referred to again by
some other part of the model

anyway, I noticed the following text with date 29Jan2004 (hadn't read Quesa
e-mails for sometime
now), so will unsubscribe and resubscribe to the new list:

Hi,

The Quesa CVS repository has been moved over to SourceForge - the
project home page is at:

Any future check-ins will be made to this server, and the "CVS" link at
the top of the page has the details for anonymous CVS access (as well as
a web interface for browsing).

There are two mailing lists - these can be found by following the
"Lists" link at the top of the project page, which will take you to:

The quesa-cvs list will automatically receive notifications for any CVS
check-ins. A summary may be posted to the other list, but if you like to
see exactly what's changing (it gives you a neat little diff within each
mail), you'll want to sign up for this list.

The quesa-develop list is the replacement for this list: general
development news/talk should take place there. The list archives are
available from the above link, as are digest/etc options.

We can keep this list running for the medium term, and I plan to stay
subscribed to this one until traffic dies off. However at some point
most people will have switched over, and so a question here might get
missed.

If you have any problems subscribing/getting to CVS/etc, let me know.
