Paul, I know excessive image size was suggested as a reson for an earlier posting difficulty, but I would be surprised if that was actually the problem. Please follow up with Artifice Support at "firstname.lastname@example.org" if you continue to have trouble posting images.
Jacques is on the right track for a maximum image size in terms of viewer convenience, and I agree that 800x600 is a good upper size. (Technically speaking, the Scrapbook can handle much larger images, but they aren't nice.)
Generally I find that most architectural images convey good detail for web viewing if the longer dimension of the image is 700 pixels, and the quality is JPEG level 6 (or high, if you're using software with a verbal quality scale).
Those guidelines would be good to generally follow here.
