Have spent hours following leads that you have given, however looking through my local paper and saw advert for coach trip to Bruges - not a good picture but a tower was in the background. Some good pictures on the net but none from the angle in my etching. However, the tower in the Halletron Belfry, in a market place in Bruges, the statue inthe forefront is Jan Breydel who fought against the French in 1302. The tower stands on the Cloth hall a former weavers guild hall. The cathedral to the right is the Church of Our Lady.
Thanks for all you help. I'm currently working on a project team planning a 1200 bedded hospital here in Birmingham, one of the design briefs is that the building should be a 'civic landmark'I wonder if can get the architecs to copy the Helletron.
Best wishes to you all.
