This Syrian village is the last surviving Aramaic village in the world, knowing that Aramaic language is the language of Jesus Christ and his Disciples, this village is situated at 1500m above sea level in the Qalamoun mountain range, known by its traditional (terraced stepped houses) built in mud brick architecture, thru traditional methods conserved from many millennia, such kind of overlapping stepped terraced housing which occurs as a natural result due to the natural slope of the surrounding mountains is very clever optimum usage of the floor area and had many social & security benefits, and i consider this architecture the real inspiration behind many imitative modern architectural projects(ex:habitat 67),i had visited this village 5 years ago and i enjoy my admiration to this kind of traditional architecture needless to say that i took many interisting photos for the different parts of the village.
