Nice graphic but maby a bit to to much dramatic attitude ;))
House look nice even I have to say, that it proberly also would look nice in 3DH framework paneled like the tradisional structure you ask.
Now round foundations for sheet material are easyer and cheaper generated with a formed honeycomb structure so this proberly be cheaper than the laminated wood (guess that's the material) ribbons for the wing formed roof, quite nice ,I just wonder if you thought about a "spoiler" or somthing simular to neutralise the wing effect with this much angle un the roof. My thoughts about framework are that any sheet material is that with 3D-H it's some kind of perfect 3D-Honeycomb core ,then covered with panels the strength all respect worth counting get four times better ;for one I wonder why the roof structure I instantly think about if the roof structure are safe for heavy winds.
I recently seen an english project, where strange looking chimney tops was an important design issue ; guess you all know this rudder lead thing that make sure that wind don't enter down the chimney it swing with the wind and somtimes make a hell of a noise ; "WHY" I ask ,as if you place an upside down dome right over the top of the chimney there are a wing effect within the shimney steel tube ,this thing don't need to move an opening away from the wind, as the more wind with the thing I point to ,the more vaccum it create man I lived in houseboat for 30 years, and know chimney tops is a science and I had one myself ; just a concave ring one inch down the tube end, 3,5 inch long stainless steel rods up from that holding a dish with the curved side over the chimney top ; this thing work and hold a piece of paper vaccumed unto the bottom of the tube as long as there are any wind any direction, it all will passe the dish.
Now what is design and what is just style.
I like composite building technikes but 3D-Honeycomb are not vowen structure in the tradisional fabric veawing sense ,this mean that if you are in for detail design then there are interesting possibilities with a modern building method. Laminated beams must cost a farm, while honeycomb structure are both fast and easy.
