My last duty station in Germany was as the Deputy Installation Commander of Frankfurt. I was stationed in the "Abrams" IG Farben building. My main responsibility was tracking and assigning office space. What a lovely building. I was the OIC (under direction of the STB Battalion Commander, and LTG Woodmansee) for the project of turning the old snack bar/bookstore into the Eisenhower Rotunda. After the renovation, we had General Colin Powell come over for the dedication. We even had a retreat ceremony for him. Since I was a photographer, I have a lot of black and white pictures of the dedication ceremony and of General Powell. I even have a shot of then Maj General Calvin A.H. Waller. He was the 8Th ID commander at the tiem and would go on to be Deputy to General Swartzkop during Desert Storm. If anyone is interested in the photos let me know.
