There is a new documentary being filmed on the Leisurama Homes of Montauk - early 1960s. These houses were built by All-State Properties, designed by Andrew Geller at Raymond Loewy/William Snaith, Inc., and sold by Macy's department store. It's not the most compelling design (which Geller readily admits), but the houses position in the history of beach vacation culture is unquestioned. A prototype of the Leisurama kitchen was the subject of debate between Richard Nixon and Nikita Khrushchev at the American National Exhibit in Moscow, 1959.
