I was stationed in Frankfurt at the Gutleut Kaserne with the Army Security Agency from 1951 to 1954. We worked at the I.G. Farben building on the west end near Gruneburgpark. The I.G. Farben building was a wonderful place in which to work, with the reflecting pool and the Annex building in the back. Eisenhower's office was above the main entry, and the 709th MPs guarded the front entrance. The 709th MP Bn was billeted at the Gutleut Kaserne (along with the ASA) and guarded the main entrance to the Kaserne.
If anyone has any references regarding Ray Charette (from Mass.) or Bill Murphy, both with the ASA, please post. They worked at the Farben building when I was there. Great people!!!
