Not the "Gosai Cinema" New Broadway, Ealing ?

If it is you should be (or may already be) aware of the following - which includes part of the Development Brief on the link, and the Council will have a great deal of history on the building and the site:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Land behind Ealing Town Hall and Nos. 2-36 New Broadway W5 ? Draft Development Brief

We would like your views on the future of the Council-owned land behind Ealing Town Hall and 2-36 New Broadway within Ealing Town Centre.  This is a site with significant development potential and the Council is considering marketing the site to invite development proposals consistent with the improvement strategy for Ealing Town Centre published in October 2002.  The draft Brief also suggests that seeking to extend the site by acquiring additional privately-owned land is an option for the right development proposal.

The enclosed draft Development Brief is intended, in its final form, to provide the basis for inviting development proposals.  Before it is finalised, we very much want to hear your views on it so changes can be considered.   The draft Brief outlines the two-stage developer selection process being considered for the site with public consultation at each stage.  The Council?s Cabinet and Planning Committee are likely to consider the final version of the Brief in November 2003 when the Cabinet is also likely to consider approving the idea of inviting scheme proposals for the site.

Your views are important - please send me your comments on the draft Brief by 24 October 2003 by letter or e-mail.

Thank you

Yours faithfully

Terry Knibbs
