For years I have resisted taking that walk back 30 plus years to my involuntary military days but I guess it's more than time.I was in the 201st Signal company from 1970-1971 before ETS back home to NYC.
I remember McNair as a hash heaven and beer bar but suicides and shootings..never on the post.
I guess I got out before all this and as far as big events,Christ,we thought we were in heaven when the army started civilian KP in the mess hall so now we could party all night without the responsibility of article 15's by not showing up for KP.
"Alerts" at 3 AM to drive just outside Frankfurt airport was another waste of time but we did it.
