Funny you should ask. . .I hope that you happen to see my reply, though. I haven't ever been to this museum so I am not really allowed to make any criticisms. ( I believe architecture should be studied, as well as experienced to truly appreciate it) However, I have uncovered some funny details about FLW's intent with this project.

FLW has some deep seated problems with New York City and didn't care for the it. How better to show a little spite than obliterate NYC's skyline. ( A trademark of all big cities) The museum looks kind of alien nestled amongst square skyscrapers. Second, The whole circulation is based on a ramp that leads you peacefully through the museum. Very nice for visitors, but torture for the artists. To hang a painting you had to accept one truth, it would always appear crooked because of the sloped floor. Another act of vengance by Wright, this time the target being the artwork, which again Wright didn't care for. Just some little tidbits, of what FLW had in mind, conceptually.
