I arrived at McNair Kaserne in Sept 1966 assigned to the 32nd Signal Battalon MOS Motion Picture Photographer. I made Spec/4 in Jan 1967 and set about teaching myself the still photo MOS. For practice I had gone to "cover" a basketball game and was discovered by a V Corp Guardian writer named Frank Tierney and the photos were published, my first. After some persistance my part I was assigned to IG Farben and the Guardian. The Guardian was run by SSgt David O. Wesley. Wesley was under command of LTC Bobby Mitchell then later LTC Lonnie Huff for the Public Information Office. Under overall command of Lt. Gen Andrew Boyle. The offices were on the first floor 1st door to the left. The photo lab was in q-1 the third floor next to the Avation Section. The rotunda above the main entrance was a conference/reception room (lots of NATO and SMLM get togethers)in my day. It had it's own private pater naster. Legend was that the huge room served as Ike's office.
