Our family was stationed in Germany from November 1952 until sometime in the summer of 1955. We were Capt. Robert W. Brown, wife Mary Brown and 2 children, 4yo Robin.......me, and 3yo sister Susie.
The first year we had the rare privlege of living in a beautiful house in Munchen. I can't find the oomlaut key! Computer probably doesn't have one. And the spelling of the word itself looks a little shakey.
We moved to Frankfurt after one year, and stayed at atteberry, may be atterberry. Anyway, it was across the road from another kasern, Betz. Did I goof up the spelling of this one also?
I remember the kaserne being almost rural with lots of trees.........and sheep. And I remember that they were was a little to the east of Frankfurt, and perhaps a little south.
not bad for a 5 year old girl.
Can anyone tell me anything? My husband and I are planning a trip to Germany in march, and I would like to be able to see them again, if they still exist.
Thank You!
