I have 2 pics I desperately need to identify. Can any of you bright ones help me ?

(1) A steep pyramid, seems to be glass and concrete/stone (not the famous one in Paris)with wooded hillside behind - vertical and horizontal beams seem to make cross of lorraine.

(11) A (triumphal ?) arch in modern city, romanesquish, pillars in front. Above archway, coat of arms with wings with a figures each side and statue of 3 figures on top of arch.

Guesses will help. Thanks in anticipation...
