The concept is the foundations that you build on. Without the concept your project will collapse due to the flaw in it's structure! :0)!!

How can you produce something without first having an idea of what or why you are doing it? "Form follows Function" remember!

The concept has to be concrete before you begin, the project can still have movement - but only slight.

Remember the rules of structure here. Your thesis is the building first foundations, then build and then render. ie. Introduction, exposition and conclusion.
