Rather than continue the thread below (where I added another post), here's a link to another web site where there is another of the sort of Correa project I admire: the powerful, simple block of mass which is sculpted in a subtractive manner, producing great figural spaces. This is, of course, similar to the British Counsel Building and the Mexican project you showed, Simon--and to the work in the Urbanism section of the Correa web site that I mentioned.

I see the Correa seems to be teaching at MIT in Boston now--did you know this? Check www.google.com for Correa.

I also find that a book was published in Britain about Correa in 1997. The author was the American historian , Kenneth Frampton, who is also interested in regionalism.
