I have used (Macromedia) Dreamweaver... it's better than Frontpage... but useful if you have a little grasp of the HTML....
FrontPage, ofcourse, comes across as quite user-friendly... I started experimenting with the Frontpage Express... the no-frills version...

yeah... free web-space is there... but as rightly pointed out... there are banners...
if you try web-hosters like Freeservers.com... they offer decent space and neat banner integration... not to mention a range of domain names to choose from...
the problem is that you never know when they will stop thier 'free' services.... and you might have to pay to keep going...

I personally don't like using templates...
