I am afraid that I have never had the opportunity to study architecture, so my opinion may not be the most valid. But surely, much as there is a Post-Modern architecture today in the West (which calls for a return to certain historial values), it should be perfectly plausible to create a 'Modern' Iranian architecture that references or 'quotes' its native architectural language?
