Hello,
I would suggest you to look up some great architects' work and try to read the statement of their works (usually like an essay that explains why the building was built and designed like the way it is).
I've been doing this since the last two semesters and I could improve my design creativity.
Another method you can do to improve your designing stuff is by asking your studio course friends (in addition to your studio professor) for critics to your work. The critiques you get can help you to be more creative in solving design problems.
