Proportion: Agreeable or harmonious relation of parts within a whole; balance or symmetry.

The relationship of the different structures within the main structure, you wouldnt want to place a small window within a large wall, or a low placed ceiling in a large room, also it deals with the design. Of course I believe true art has no boundries, great art comes from breaking that balance and creating something completely original(abstract) even then, though, there's always a relationship between the structure in the art.
