I'm a reporter looking for interesting examples of buildings or
vessels not originally designed for people to live in
that have been converted to residential spaces, such
as the missile silo-turned-home in upstate New York. I am not looking for old factories warehouses, or churches that have been turned into lofts, which is fairly common. I am looking for unusual reuses, such as trains, ships, hospitals, airplane hangars, etc. Please contact me ASAP if you know of any such conversions in the Southeastern U.S. or of likely sources to find them. Thanks.
