i guess each individual has a sense of proportion somewhere in the back of his or her mind... which translates into likes and dislikes of nythin n everythin around him...
similarly in buildings, each person will have a preferred proportion which will give a sense of beauty to teh structure.
for example, most ppl will say that the tougher the proportion is to analyse the more 'beautiful' it is... somethin like 3:5 is more appealin than mayb 1:2... since it is more difficult to figure out.
mayb for this, v may have to look into details of beauty n aesthetics which by the way i havent yet discovered the difference between... so if nyone can enlighten me on the subject of beauty n aesthetics.. itll b gr8.
well i guess all of us have to look into details of buildings to arrive at atleast a rough proportion which appeals to us since choice differs from peron to person.
