have you read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand? the characters in the story were architects and the story started when they were in still in college. the protagonist was in the most unspiring situation like you, even much worse, yet his creativity was not constricted. He managed to break away from mediocrity that was eating his colleagues. read the book and you might find it inspiring.
i am an architecture student in a third world country and the depressing state of architecture and urban planning here is my driving force to pursue the career. though only a few of my classmate are serious on being an architect someday, and most of my professors are pure braggarts with no talent at all, i still do not despair.
interaction with students and architects outside your school who has the heart for the profession might inspire you. also immerse yourself in books and find something you can use in the internet.
i hope i have somehow helped you with your dilemma.
goodluck!!!
