MARCUS,

do you know the fantasia contrapuntistica by busoni?
my advisor once pointed it out.
it is a huge work for piano ... inspired by bach i think.
busoni conceived of the piece and its many movements as a sort of musical reading of a cathedral (if i remember it right).
before the music he even gives an image of a cathedral and its many constituent parts (corresponding to his movements i guess).
you might want to check it out.

i'm also doing work on music and architecture.
what's your thesis focused on?
would love to hear ...

best,
LeMinh
