I am affraid that this is a debatable statement,because creating "something" needs basic vocabulary and basic elements to start building your created dream,to translate thoughts from data...
creating something from nothing!
is almost a myth creatively speaking,you have to back your knowledge by a mental archive and this accumulated storage thru your whole life of different pictures,lines,figures,forms,compositions,and spaces along with collective memory is the base,these treasures which you built it in your memory thru your life ,you can depend on it in your mature creativity and not in your raw creativity
in other way there's creativity philosophically speaking and there's sacred spark of ignition or devine talent or genius approach...etc
but you can not benifit from this rare gift WITHOUT backing it up by knowledge and lots of accumulated knowledge
or else this "genius" thing will be like crude oil or unpolished diamonds which may be equalized with graphite in the carbon family qualitatively speaking ,you have to polish your
trust me creativity from void is a myth!
