what a sad discussion - architects want to earn a reasonable living in most cases.

the work is there - and some of it is very well paid.

I deal with thousands of projects a year and I can assure you, based on hard experience, that it is a lack of the simple interest - and will - to try and get work that is the problem.

architects have a spectacular range of transferrable skills which could help their income, but do they use them ? Very rarely.

If the profession is so unenthusiastic, is it surprising that clients don't take the profession seriously ?
