90% of American houses are built without an architects. They are built of dimensional lumber. Low tech. We are in the buisness of making low tech buildings, not computers. Perhaps I should refer you to the %95 percent of architects that are completely dissatisfied with this industry. The other %5 being the academics and Principles of firms.
I am not pigeonholed at all, I've worked for small large and now I work for myself. At one time the architect was artist, now he is just an extension of the keyboard. Doing only what a developer can't do himself. If you disagree, you are a liar.
