Is it true that Architecture is a low paid job?
I'm starting UNI at UNSW in Australia this year and doing B Arch.
it's going to be 5 yrs.!
I'm very worried about what will happen to me after I've finished my course and age 25 (i consider youth has gone) to find being an Architect has been a waste of time.
I mean if it fits to everyones ideals that being an Architect is KOOL and you get to participate in lots of miracle works or society advancing development... I'll really be happy ... and do that.
But if its not! That the world lives on money and no dreams and being an Architect means no opportunity and LOTS of hard work with very low pay ... I reallly can't see why I should do it then.
I mean I love creating and I have all that idealistic dreams once upon a time Architects can do.
However I am hearing it is not.
Is this industry worth it? Can ideals be fulfiled if I DO WORK HARD?, can anyone tell me what are the 'kools' in being an Architect and is it still worth it with low pay? And maybe how low is low? Is it worth 5 yrs.?
I do love creating!
But I am also not wealthy .... can anyone plz fill me in?
