True, buildings don't legally need an architect's signature on them to be built, but does this mean we should give up?
Isn't our job to see that we have a career rather than to sit and spectate while the industry crashes around us. I wish more architects would actually do something more pro-active than complaining day in day out.
I have a question for you Ken how long have you been working? Couldn't you quit your job where you work now and start at a different firm or even attempt to start your own? I know both those options are logistically hard, especially considering personal considerations, i.e. family, money, age etc. But if you really wanted to make a switch you could couldn't you? I'm not lecturing(far be it from my place to lecture) or being sarcastic I'm actually curious about what someone in you situation would do.
