Right now a lot of cities all over the world are wondering what to do with abandoned industrial buildings. Many people think that it is best to just tear down these buildings and put up new developments. I think their are a number of good ways to reuse these buildings. Because of this I am working on my thesis project that would be a reuse of a grain elevator in Portland.
I am looking for any info or opinions people might have on the reuse of old industrial buildings. I have been having a really hard time finding any precedents.
I would appreciate your input on this subject.
