Its nice and romantic to think passion pays off. And it very well may but there is much much less of a chance of it in architecture. If you were passionate about being a physician, I believe the rewards are good. If you were passionate about the entertainment industry lawyering and many others, the returns are good. But no, not in architecture my young friend. But lets not forget that Architecture is a cold buisness like any other. I've seen many a brilliant architect fall by the wayside with his passion, while the asskissers and empty head's prosper. You know who they are.
It is a long cold winter here in NY, the cat has got a cold but we both prefer dried catfood.
