Studio was definitely not easy but a big part of that was my lack of practice. If I were you I'd get books about drawing or maybe even basic books about tools or projects in the studio. The thing that will help you best is that when there is an assignment you need to come up with a basic idea, a characteristic or purpose you want your area or building to have. Remember there's a million different ways to design something and believe it or not all these options will be overwhelming and will often be what slows you down. If you are more efficient with your time them once you come up with your core direction then you start whipping out ideas within this limitation you have given yourself and then you can decide the one you like best and just start as soon as possible. You will run out of time sooner than you thought but don't let it stress you out because you will never feel that your project is completely done so just keep working steadily but with a direction and you will do fine. Also don't forget to sleep , I definitely didn't do that enough.
