the link is to the sites around the world made UNESCO World Heritage sites this year - what is interesting is the variety; some are ancient while others, like the White City in Tel Aviv, are modern.

It could be interesting to contact some of them and find out how they are dealing with conserving the important locations, while dealing with modern requirements - as with Kew Gardens which undertakes modern research and has large numbers of visitors.
