In terms of metaphysics in architecture, you could look into Rene Descarte's theory -- Cogito ergo sum (i think therefore I am). He plots the organization of the world into three parts of a tree: the fruit and branch (particular science ---individual career and practises), the truck (the sciences and physics that drives and proves each fruit and finally the root- metaphysics that is the foundation of all and how it drives particular sciences such as architecture and how it is in turn driven by the search of the "higher plane" by the particular sciences. It is certainly a great counter reading on your means of metaphysics of architecture. Where eveerything can be plot out in a 7X7 grid. Hope it helps
