Hi
You are quite right, but "selling" a vision ,being able to envision into detail and with a pover knowing each members deepest wish ,transform a dull expertation, into a picture of a bright future ; ----- well try it, and you find that you wish yourself back to the happy Hippie day's.
Beside it don't work that way, maby in U.s. but not in a small contry where everyone know eachothers style there, the pover of a vision will never strike within each members mind, And what are the times ; those where the master designer can order or those where the master designer can build on the fact, that education system say "teamwork".
Guess that if Utzon had told he didn't knew a clue those structures wouldn't be build, but today the vision must be greater, as the designer must be able to lift the creativity of a team, that's different than arogance and ask that you know the wish of both each member of a comity ,know the enginering issues, alway's se the perspective of what you acturly want to build upon, and is able to use this as a pointer to a more general vision about a bright future and new jobs.
Don't try this in a small contry ;))
