I am considering applying for masters programs in architecture. Does anyone have any advice on applications, prerequisites or optional preparation? Also, I have some general questions about the field:

Is UC Berkeley's program hard to get into?

Are there any resources for standards of 3D computer models for the field? My background is in Maya (Animation and modeling), but I don't know much about standards or basics for this field.

Do most architects do their own drafting, or do they hand off sketches to a drafter?

What do final theses usually involve? Is it more writing and research, or designs and models?

Where does the architect's job end, and the civil engineer's begin?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
